Bob Tibbett, CTSM, Earns Diamond-level Certified Trade Show Marketer Credentials

8/19/2024

ROCHESTER, MN. - Exhibitor Group, the award-winning leader in trade show and corporate event marketing education, announces that Bob Tibbett has now earned Diamond-level Certified Trade Show Marketer (CTSM) credentials.

Bob TibbettBob currently serves as Manager, Trade Show & Event Marketing, for RTX in the commercial aerospace and defense industries. Bob's events journey began in 1999 at a company sales conference, and his path to certification began at EXHIBITORLIVE in 2006.

"The classes were eye opening, and I began to understand that I didn’t know what I didn’t know," said Tibbett. "Once I learned about the CTSM program, I focused on moving forward with classes and networking. I made some life-long contact and friendships, learning from some great mentors. I have no doubt having these certifications and upgrades has raised awareness about our industry and the unique skills needed to manage shows and events."

Bob's first full time position was in the aerospace industry, where he managed 97 shows in a year. During the pandemic, the knowledge he had acquired allowed him to branch out and advise his new company how to navigate the opportunity of virtual shows until face-to-face events returned. Bob has also been involved with event and trade show planning in the semiconductor and cyber security industries.

"My CTSM credentials opened doors for me in the trade show industry, and helped me gain the confidence needed to manage everything from a tabletop space to an 11,000 square foot multi business booth," added Tibbett. "After my certification, I have become the subject matter expert on everything trade show/event related, catching small details and making sure if things went south, we had a 'Plan B' in place to pivot as needed."

"Congratulations, Bob Tibbett, on achieving the CTSM Diamond Upgrade!" said Monica Myhill, CMP, CRP, CPTD / Chief Learning Strategist and CTSM Director. "Your dedication to professional growth and commitment to excellence is truly inspiring. This milestone is a testament to your hard work and passion for the field. Well done!"

The Diamond-level CTSM classification was established in 2011 to recognize the graduates who have chosen to lead through professional contributions to both the CTSM program and the industry. CTSM graduates have the option of adding onto their core certification at four different levels of upgrades: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond. More than 3,000 trade show and corporate event marketing professionals are currently enrolled in the CTSM program, and to date just 32 CTSM graduates have achieved Diamond Level certification.

CTSM candidates receive extensive training in trade show marketing, in conjunction with Northern Illinois University Outreach. Learn more about the CTSM program and how it can elevate your trade show marketing career at www.CTSM.com.
