Renasant Convention Center and Cannon Center Partner with RK Group on Second Annual Bluff City Giveback Holiday Meal Distribution

MEMPHIS, TN — The Renasant Convention Center and The Cannon Center for the Performing Arts partnered with RK Group Bluff City, the Memphis Housing Authority and Urban Strategies, Inc. on Sunday, December 7, 2025 to support pre-selected Memphis families through the second annual Bluff City Giveback holiday meal distribution.
This year, a total of 300 families received holiday meal kits feeding 8 to 10 people, along with two festive stockings per household. The effort provided critical food support and holiday cheer to as many as 3,000 Memphians this season.
“We are grateful to our catering partner, RK Bluff City, for leading this Bluff City Giveback initiative for
our community, now in its second year. Bluff City Giveback is a meaningful example of how
collaboration can brighten the holidays for families across Memphis,” said Dean Dennis, Senior Vice
President and General Manager, Renasant Convention Center.
“We are incredibly grateful and proud to host the 2nd Annual Bluff City Giveback. Being able to provide turkey meal kits and holiday stockings to 300 families is more than a seasonal tradition. It’s a reflection of our deep commitment to uplifting and supporting our community,” said Kate Strause, General Manager, The RK Group – Bluff City.
“I really appreciate the partnership with Bluff City Giveback, this is an opportunity for some of our most needy families to receive a complete Christmas meal for their families. Seeing the smiles on their faces and hearing the thank you warmed my heart,” said Eva Mosby, Regional Vice President, Urban Strategies, Inc.
The drive-thru distribution on Front Street outside the Renasant Convention Center provided a smooth and uplifting experience for families preparing for the holidays. Volunteers welcomed each car and placed holiday meal kits and stockings directly into trunks, helping parents head home with both nourishment and peace of mind. It was a bright moment of community connection — a reminder that Memphis continues to show up for one another during the holiday season.
